One of the e-mail spam blacklisting databases decided to put this site's mail server on its list of "spam" sites. It had nothing to do with us sending spam, only that our IP address happened to be in the same range of a supposed offender. Several days ago I sent a request to have it removed since it was there unjustly, but as of today it was still on the list.
I setup a new server though an ISP that strictly controls outbound mail and began forwarding all mail from this site through it about an hour ago. So, hopefully, the problem should be gone for good. There may still be issues so please let me know if there's any question about an address and I will try to test it.
IF YOU SENT A MESSAGE THROUGH THE MAIL FORM HERE IN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND DID NOT RECEIVE AN EXPECTED REPLY, ASSUME IT WAS NOT RECEIVED AND TRY SENDING THE MESSAGE AGAIN.
Premier members who sent mail from their own mail program were not affected at all.
Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about messages that were sent previously but not delivered. For privacy reasons no copies of the mail are kept on the server. If the recipient server didn't deliver it, it's gone for good.
The problem depended purely on the destination server. Some servers like Yahoo and Verizon were not affected, while Hotmail and Bellsouth began acting on our mail at some point. The action may have been to just flag the mail as "spam" but still deliver it, or to simply drop it into oblivion.
I'm very sorry this happened and anyone that has any questions please let me know.
Anyone who placed an ad with an e-mail address on an affected server as contact and would like an update posted, please call the office or write me with the reference number.
