You need to have about 7dB more of atten on the forward and the return and you will be fine.

Input would be +7dB down and +45dB up. I am assuming the plant is set up correctly.

For DOCSIS with a 256qam down and a 16qam up or even QPSK up you should stay within these specs.

Down -10 to +10 (DOCSIS Spec is -15 to +15dB)
Upstream +40 to +52 (Yes it will work lower or high, but this level will give you the biggest window for temp changed)
