i've mixed diplexors before and not had problems, but i have been told my many people more experienced than me not to do it. also. if you have 2 different types of diplexors......it sounds like you scavenged them........try this, stop the next sat guy you see and give him 10 bucks for (sounds like you you need 4 diplexors) he might charge more if he's low, go with it. take them back and hook them up with 2 in, one down, and 2 out sat all the way to the sat eq and uhf/vhf or antenna side all the way back to your splitter. it sounds like you are either missing something about diplexors or you have bad ones
