Does the sat work without the diplexer ?
If not check for splitters that may be hidden in the attic or crawl space.
Give me more info on the set up, how many rooms have cable ?
How many lines are ran and where do they come in from ?
I would really check for splitters diplexers usually work well for me and like many others I have used them on many installs only to receive the very basic cable channels not with a box.
