Just to set the record straight, there was no axe dropped. Groupware signed a contract to do trouble calls through the end of the year. We did our job, they are caught up on there backlog.

Cable Express will no longer be working in Tampa. They are employee based. The truth is that employee based contractors have to pay for insurance and taxes regardless if the MSO provides us work or not. 1099 companies do not have to pay anything for the subs if they do not run a route. Therefore the MSO can keep 1099 companies that they can starve in good consience if they see fit.

As for Orlando, allow me to correct your statement - Vozzcomm is NORMALLY an employee based comany. When they started in Orlando they flipped to 1099 to compete with the larger existing 1099 companies there. So yes they are no longer working in Orlando, but they were not employee based when they were left.
