Go to any public library, head to the reference desk, and ask for the "Cable TV Fact Book" by Warren Publishing. Among many facts, the Fact Book lists all the MSOs and every franchise they are in. Also every State is listed with an alphabetical listing of every franchise within the State which includes a myriad of information on every system-phone numbers, managers, channel lineups, prices, miles of plant, and on and on. You can't check out the book but you can copy the particular pages that interest you.
To save time, call ahead to the public library to make sure they have the latest edition (it will be last years but accurate enough). If not, they should be able to point you to a library that does have it.
