True Lineman

All you Linemen out there help me understand one thing. The title "Linemen". Isn't that reserved for techs that work on power lines? According to that pic anyone that goes up a pole is a Linemen. I'm a cable tech and would never consider myself to be a Linemen. One exception to that rule would be a contruction tech because they work almost exclusively in the air. Thanks guys.
