Most of today's modems'"like the moreola 51 series" have their own ags so the foward path is fine wherever it lands. The return path is key. I like to see no more than 54 on the upstream. And carier to noise should be at least 36. These modems are very forgiving so don't over think the install. keep the system clean w/ a good sweep program and you will have a profitable bottom line.
