I purchased a birdog meter new on Ebay for 350.00. The payment was sent Western Union due to I needed the meter immediately to get back to installs that were all ready scheduled. The seller picked up the money as soon as it was sent, but he did not UPS the meter for several days. Everything worked out, but I was getting pretty worried when it took the seller such a long time to send the meter once the money was picked up. Since this purchase, the seller has been dropped from Ebay for apparently burning some other shopper. I recommend checking to see how many sells the seller has made on Ebay and reading all or at least most of the reviews that shoppers have left on the website explaining their experience with that seller. A high number of sells usually means piece of mind. I would be very careful making expensive purchases from sellers who have made a small number of sells or none at all. Sometimes your gut feeling can be right on the money.
