Vonage requires 90kb min bandwidth. but the quality of sound and bandwidth usage can be controled from the account website. I have had a phone and fax line with them for two years. Only need to reboot the box once in a while and i have an FTP server and do gaming and never see any ill affects. On cable you really won't but if you have DSL and a base package you may at times experience and echo either on your end or the person who your speaking with.
