It can be done ,but there is not a big demand for re-wiring,that I no of to make a good living out of it. As for as prewires go usally the builder has the electricain do it and the big builders that build sub division stick with that. I thought about that also so I inquired to about 20 building contractors and they all said the same thing, they stick with what they have. Good luck
