But about the motels -- they eat into the bottom line. MSOs and Primes don't cover those costs. As a sub, we get nickled and dimed by everybody - the employee who wants every living expense paid for (Time to wake up, everyone!! This just isn't feasible), the Prime/MSO who decide not to pay for certain items that they said they would (and the employee never hears about because the sub just keeps on paying the employee the same rate so they don't leave).
In this day and age, if you still have to travel around the country to do this kind of work, and if you hate it that you do, you should have found a different industry a long time ago.....The economics just don't add up...
