channel mapping is usually done by the m.s.o. when they need to assign either more h.d. or just realign certain freq. cause of issues like camera's out in the field , this is done in their H.E. the receivers in the home do the work. I have never seen a t.v where you can change or map the freq. depending on the bandwidth of the tuner they must be in fcc reg. in other words .
ch. 2 55mhz. to however high the tuner goes. 6 mhz wide
