I have not actually deployed a system like this, but I had to research it for a client. The DS speeds are upwards of 3Mbps, depending on the architecture. It's a fairly viable access solution for smaller communities, but the inter- facility portion is what I've found to be more interesting as it can save a lot of MDU rewiring costs.
