I subbed for sat unlmtd some years ago and their policy was if you go in the attic it is a $59 charge per hour. I looked at it as an a$$hole charge. If the customer was an arse and insisted it go a certain way they was out of the way for me, I had the option to charge them, and the company had my back (cause they got 1/2 of it).
If the customer wants a wallfish, then they are going to pay. I will give the customer as many options available and if they reject the custom wallfish and choose a less attractive alternative, I notate my paperwork with the customer signing it. If they choose the custom work, I make out a receipt with my name and # billing them for labor only.
