Speaking as a subcontractor who has NEVER bounced a check - I think you just shot yourself in the foot. If you have to hire someone to solve your problems (financial or otherwise), you're not sending a good message to anyone, especially since you just laid it out for all the world (and their attorneys) to see. You have just set the perfect example of a typical hack company who somehow stays in the game. If anything, your email should have simply stated "Thank you" to those employees for sticking with you and you should have left it at that. Don't be surprised if they jump ship.
