Has anyone had problems splicing OFS glass. I have had alot of problems with cleaving, Fusing, and testing. The glass seems brittle when cleaving. I/E shattered core & spear point cleaves. When testing
I see alot of high loss in one direction and high gainers in the other direction leading me to believe a mode field issue. In some instances I see just a high loss in one direction and when we resplice with various other machines nothing changes in the three burn rule. When we go a foot or so back on the glass we can sometimes get a better burn. In an FTTP enviroment slack is precious! any input will be helpful. Thanks
