There seems to be a scorched earth policy when dealing with offices unionizing. The company I was an emloyee of (B&A), have resorted to subbing out work in order to starve the newly organized office(s) to get rid of the employees selectively.
So, if the effort I and my coworkers would have succedded, we would all have been starved out of work while the company subbed out all of the jobs to contractors.
The ironic thing is, we were all happier as subcontractors, before the contractors mandated we all be employees. We had more experienced techs, and we had more freedom.
Contracting is alright, work ebbs and flows and is ebbing right now.
