Union-Schmunion. I was in the Musicians Union and they did nothing for us to enforce contracts. All they wanted was our union dues. No support whatsoever.
I worked in a shoe factory and had to join the union. No help from the union at all when needed. I went to the union president one time WITH the employee-union hand book and showed the president what was mandated by the union and he said to go back to work. I told him, and showed him in black on white what the manual said, which He originaly gives the new employees, and he said there was nothing he could do about it because the management of the factory told him they didn't care what the book said. I told the union president that if he couildn't do anything about it maybe the union's national office could. He told me he'd see to it that I got fired if I went over his head.
Union-Schmunion, you can keep your stinkin unions. All they want is your money.
