The ole $400+ plastic meter let you down, aye? It happenend to me and I put mine up for about 6 months. I hooked it up for the h$ll of it and it worked. I immediately listed it on ebay and gave a honest description and it sold for $15 less than what I paid for it.
I have been using a dual channel master (metal casing!) and have never been let down. I primarily use it on the DPP dish 500 and also on the dish 1000. Works like a charm, and built like a tank.
