Looking for opinions on what an MSO bases it's line item prices on. The MSO has based it's prices to contractors on a formula that shows the average cost to the MSO for an in-house installer to be $45/hr. Taking the line items and breaking them down to an "average" amount of time it takes for in-house to complete and converting to a line item price based on $45/hr in relation to the "average" time. For an 8 hr. day that would convert to $360 cost to the MSO no matter the completion rate due to XO's, R/S's, and N/A's. For us contractors who see an average 75% -80% completion rate (of which we have absolutely no control over) that $45/hr drops to $33-$36/hr resulting in a huge savings to the MSO and an average rate of $16.50 to $18/hr. to the contractor installer. THIS SUCKS! So much for the 90's way of living.
