not true, think about it. Devices of this type perform better in cold weather not in heat. 45 degrees is not even cold for that matter. If you're having problems with a garage install, my guess is its probably been powered on a reset panel outlet which is typical in a garage & the unit is probably not getting power and won't until the reset button on the outlet is pressed.
