Re: dish in house

I worked out of a warehouse that had an in house crew, and we, down the hall, worked for a contractor as sub-contractors. We got $90 for a 322 install. It took us about three hours. The guys working in house at $10 per hour made $30 bucks in that three hours. We did about three a day for $270 (3X$90). On the end of their 9 hour day they made $90. True enough, they were furnished a van and ladder and their stripper, crimper and meter, but I never really spent more than $20 off my $270 for gas on any given day. One days work will pay for the crimper, stripper and a meter. I feel you're way money ahead being a sub-con.
The ONLY advantage I could see was when we had a no line of sight aborted install we lost our time and gas to go to that job. The in house guys got paid their $10 per hour while driving to the job and for the dance around the yard looking for a L.O.S.
