I feel your pain. I just got back from Washington State. I live in NC just over 2800 miles away. I was told they had 8 work orders for FTTP. I figured that would be 2-3 months work depending on how big they were. I had worked for subs of this prime in Indiana and did pretty well, so working direct for them seemed like a no brainer, better prices and so on. As it turned out they had done so well in Indiana that they had bought several directional boring rigs, suction trucks, and all kinds of support vehicles. I counted 26 new vehicles in the yard. They made the fatal mistake of thinking they could do it all inhouse. All brand new eqiupment and nobody with enough experience to do it right. After drilling through water mains and power cables, the phone company pulled all they're pathway work and the splicing that hadn't been started. 8 work orders turned into 1. A regular 3 ring circus. After expences I am out $1500. Ain't life in this business grand?
