I have found that if you are trying to put standard rg6 connectors on Quad, it helps to remove the bottom piece of the connector, slide it on the coax, then strip the coax and prep it, then put the connector on. Finally, compress the two parts back together. This doesn't seem to put any unusual stresses on the coax.
