Re: forgot to paste the question........
so to speak of my current situation...........i've got my contract with chicken-littles........it's constantly "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" don't do this, don't do that, here's MORE paperwork to scare the hell out of the customer, but get EVERY job done because THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING! they raise quota hire incompetents and suddenly i'm taking out work that never had a chance of going and if you look at the work order you know it, yet your QC rate goes up based on incompletes and the QC guy gets paid the full install if you fail based on some numbers that aren't made public.........ps QC's NEVER PASS (haven't figured that one out since if there is a big job that won't be profitable I get it and when said QC guy here's me bitching about it his response is always at least it's not "so and so" So i'm ready to leave because i'm scheduling my life around nonsense and doing jobs every fiber in my body says i should refuse...(if you're wondering about my chargebacks, it's happened 2 times in the 3 years i've been doing installs) i know that the contract says they can with hold my final pay for 41 days, and i expect to incur chargebacks out the wazoo if i leave, but my question is this........since i'm depended on (like mom in your example) can my leaving tomorrow, with current quota being calculated with me taking more work than i want, be looked at in the same way as leaving mom with no lights in the kitchen and if so what would be acceptable consequences and what would be grounds worth hiring a lawyer? ...................i've been saying it for 2 years now.......pretty soon you'll have to bring a lawyer to work each day...........i just don't get it
