Re: Cable pay rate

I have to say the the rates posted by Oldschool are low but as said before if they're stackable, not too bad...
On the Sat. thing... Recently tried my hand at DishNetwork and my observation is this... With the cost of fuel and having to pay for all materials except the dish itself and recievers, I definitely prefer cable over dish... Over a three month period in cable I grossed over $15K and this was not working 6 day weeks every week. My only expense was fuel and any tool I had to replace. My routes were tight, I'd fill my tank once every 4-5 days...
With Sat. I was filling up every three days sometimes every other day.. a cost increase of at least $65 weekly not to mention the rising prices of "approved" material that had to be purchased from an "approved" vendor...
The work WAS much easier than cable and I could see the potential but mileage, material and lack of work just didn't add up to what I consider a decent income.
