I always use just a standard Legacy dual to peak in the 119 first, and then I move it over to the 110. It always works great for me.

In my experience, when the DPP is hooked up to the Bird Dog, it draws too much current, and it causes the Bird Dog to display an LNB ERROR message. This is what I was told, when I called the tech support with perfect 10. You can pull the Bird Dog out of the case, and there is an '800' number on the bottom of the meter. Their tech support guys know these meters inside and out.
