Justice is for those who can afford it. Crime and punishment is an industry in this country because there are multitudes of corporations and individuals whose incomes depend solely upon it.
Once upon a time when a crime was allegedly commited police officers and detectives would be directed to investigate said crime, and only after they gathered sufficient evidence would they make arrests. Now days as soon as somebody accuses an individual of a crime the police just arrest the accused and let the courts sift it all out while a possibly innocent person is subjected to the mis-workings of the penal system untill if they are lucky they can afford bail and an attorney (another profiteer of the system), or just get to adjust to life behind bars and all that comes with it till they are shammed through the system.
