Re: Alpha Power Supplies

Our network operation center monitors all equipment in the field using Cheetah status monitoring. Once a power supply goes into standby they then wait to determine if they need to dispatch a tech. I believe if the standby is on for more than 30-60 minutes they will have a tech head out.

We can also see if a supply is out by the green/red light on the housing of the supply, but we mainly depend on our NOC.

As far as making sure they will go into standby when needed, we do monthly power supply maintenance and monitor the status of all aspects of the supply using Cheetah. (Float voltage, ampdraw, AC input, battery voltage ect...)

Keep in mind using cheetah is ok to get a basic idea of all your supplies health quick, but it's better to go out and do a PM on them.
