FIRST thing to do is TEACH EVERYONE a Civics class which is on our goverment and how it WORKS which also means YOU have to PARTICIPATE by VOTING in ALL elections, not just the one for PRESIDENT.
That is the start we really need. Funny how the home of the Brave and the land of the FREE usually has less then 50% particpating in voting whereby IRAQ when able to have the opportunity VOTE with 85% + participation.
