This is a question for the Yanks. My dad was from Altoona Pa. He had a brother named Doarn. I don't really know that much about my fathers family as he was middle age whe he had children . I only ever saw my uncle Doarn twice, Once in Carolina , once in Pa. He was a huge man , standing 6'8" over350 lbs . He ran a large boys home/farm in Hersey Pa. until his death . My parents told me he had a beautiful singing voice and once entertained President Truman and his wife with it . Do any of you pa. folks know of this man or what happened to the Boys home he ran . If I recall correctly the home housed some 400 boys . Any info will be appreciated.
