Sales Position with Scientific Atlanta - training focus

Scientific-Atlanta, headquartered in metro Atlanta, is at the forefront of today's telecommunications revolution, with 1999 sales in excess of $1 billion. We have an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to sell Scientific Atlanta Institute (SAI) training curriculum.

Location: The position is based in Atlanta with significant travel (45%) to client sites.

Reports To: Manager of Scientific Atlanta Institute (SAI)

This position is responsible for managing and executing the sales function for SAI. The successful candidate will be able to identify/create, develop, and close sales. This person will be responsible for revenue goals and associated financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include:
· All levels of customer interface to sell SAI’s curriculum
· Interface within SA to sales, marketing, program management, and Business Units to promote and provide courses to customers
· Managing and/or developing sales collateral
· Provide financial reporting to management on sales associated activity
· Strategic planning to expand the markets for SAI

Skills Desired:
Knowledge of cable system technology
Possess strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of the cable industry

Functional Tasks:
Contact customers to promote training, work with in-house structure to schedule customer requested classes, ensure customer satisfaction, and strategically plan penetration of current market and develop new markets for SAI’s curriculum.

Degree preferred.

High visibility position that requires excellent communication and presentation skills.
