If you find a way to TDR active (with AC and RF) plant - please let me know. I have asked this here a couple times and the consensus was it could not be done accurately.
I know of the "spark plug" adapter you speak of, at least I think i do - its the adapter that you can remove the dust cap, screw it in and it makes contact with the seizure screw - a little spring loaded type device. But, you still have to remove the face plate or mod and deactivate the span(s) you are shooting.
