One last thing. We all know how the work load goes up and down. Since you are treated like an employee, shouldnt you enjoy the benefit of having unemplyment insurance. And dont forget about Social Security credits. Im not sure how it works, but I get a letter every once in a while stating that because of my income over the years and FICA payments I will recieve so much money a month when I hit a certain age. These are the things you miss out on when your mis-classified.
True contractors understand they will not get these things. Which is why true contractors only accept contracts that will allow them to take these thing in consideration. The so-called contractor comparing himself to the wages of an employee is not wise person. He only hurts himself in the long run.
