I don't think I would want to risk dropping one. No rubberized edges. Then again, you might print out a few pics online of one and see if a shop that specializes in rubber dipping can dip one for you. A heavy coating of rubber out to give it some bounce. Maybe not from the 28', but it could probably handle a 6'.
