Actually, Jerry, I never met Jim, as I was in Corpus, but everyone had nothing but good to say about him and the way he ran the project. John Livengood was Mike's partner/financial backer, and he was more of an investor than an actual player, but he was golden. Money was always there, but your right, Mike didn't give a **** about how decisions he made affected those who committed to him. It was all business, and I guess in some circles that is acceptable, but I just can't burn people, just to make numbers, and feel O.K. about it. I was told I needed to be more of a company man, and it wasn't personal, just business, but whenever I have to treat someone in a way I wouldn't want to be treated, I draw the line, even if it means ****ing off a good thing for myself. Color me stupid, but at least I can live with myself. Maybe that comes from being a worker bee and not having **** handed to me on a silver platter.
