Be carefull of signing anything. The simple ones are to basically prevent you from working for the MSO or prime should you fall out of favor with them. Some will stipulate not working for the MSO/prime in that state or in the country.
Although there are some contractors who after getting to know the MSO/prime try to go direct, if the company you're contracting from is professional and competent ( and of course pays on time ) they should not be worried about you competeing.
