Two answers:
1) Blame it on the hacks. If they weren't placed in positions to screw CATV companies for so many years installation supervisors would have more respect for the profession.
2) Stay away from TWC. I make it a rule to never work for them because no matter how good you are they will consistantly take 10% from your paycheck. As a matter of fact, I don't know one single decent installer who WILL work for them, which is why the last mile of their systems I'm familiar with are in very poor shape.
