RF signals propagate on the outer edge of the center conductor this is known as the "Skin Effect" the rule of thumb for attenuation is "Attenuation doubles as frequency quadruples" or say 870 MHz has 4X the attenuation of channel 2. this is mathematically expressed as Square root of Hi/Lo.
