One of today's Dish Network Install job postings says this under tools required:
"Clean Truck, Van or SUV, Cell Phone, 16" ladder and Satellite/Cable hand tools. Must have General Liabiity and Auto Insurance"
The last time I saw a 16" ladder, it was being carried by Speedy Gonzales as he was heading towards my truck. I think he was trying to get to my stash of crumbs from yesterday's Big Mac.
Further down it says the following:
"You don't have to carry a 40' ladder for those two story jobs because the FSM has one on his truck and will bring it out and help you mount your Dish and ground block."
Damn, but, I thought everything was big in Texas, especially houses. What if you are two counties away from the FSM? Guess you'll have to wait until he can get there. You can ****-can that day's route.
It also says:
"If you're a lone wolf who wants to go it alone we probably aren't the place for you. If you want to work with a team where no one goes home until everyone goes home and help is never more than a phone call away then give us a call!"
I could give a rat's a$$ whether the hacks are done by three or nine. When I'm done, I'm done. The only help they'll get from me is to give them directions to the bar.
Just goes to show what's out there.
Would a cable reel qualify?
