Well here is my problem, I recently started working here in North Carolina. And have found that my technicians have a completely different understanding about RF technology. Who knows maybe I was completely mis-trained in my last 12 or 13 years.
My understanding is that the low band travels along the center conductor and gradually progresses out to the braid (Hyper Band). Or course it does not go any further then the shield.
A good example is if you have a corroded center conductor just the low band will drop off.
I think I am correct, but just looking for some official documentation.
