SBCA and Lincoln Technical Institute Team Up to Offer Certification Classes
Washington, D.C., July 17, 2006, -- The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) has announced a partnership with Lincoln Technical Institute/Lincoln College of Technology with 7 locations in 6 states to incorporate SBCA’s National Standards and Testing Program (NSTP) Certification courses into their Electronic Systems Technician program.
“SBCA is pleased to have Lincoln Technical Institute/Lincoln College of Technology as a partner offering the satellite industry’s certification program,” said Steve Hill SBCA Vice President of Training and Technology. “The tremendous growth of satellite television has created a huge demand for qualified installation technicians and Lincoln Technical Institute’s Electronic Systems Technician program is an ideal course for individuals looking to get into the industry” said Hill. The SBCA is working to form strategic partnerships with technical colleges to offer certification programs.
The Electronic Systems Technician, more commonly known as EST, is a career that enables you to utilize multiple residential and commercial skills needed in the industries of electronics, fiber optics, security systems, audio/video, communications systems, cabling/networking along with computers and related applications.
