MSO coverage; pain or massage?

How would one obtain the coverage areas of the major MSO's. I am trying to piece together the new mapping out of the country. It is soon to be owned by TWC and Comcast, of course. But who and where are the not so little, little guys. And will this acquisition be a strain on the "backbone" of cable or a nice Swedish massage?
