How can I add a starter switch to my bucket truck?

Just bought a bucket truck. It has hydraulic controls at the bucket. It has a kill lever that says push to stop/ hold to start. It will stop the gnerator but will not start it. Does anyone know where I should start to either fix the start/stop switch or how I could add a starter switch to the bucket? I will post a pic so that someone might understand my ramblings...
