Yup those were the Day's. I remember being asked by a guy named Lee Rainer from Regional Communications to do some strand work there in Compton that was just about the same time an ON TV ( 1 Channel wonder box) installer got shot to death in a phone booth. Kept raising the price and I still said no.
Got quite a bad habit from back then that follows me today from all the easement.... Just don't carry a ladder and hook everything.
Damn I can still here the squeak in my mind from the strand crews brace and bits going in unison through the neighborhood. Double Guard arms, Place and quarter step ahh the memories
