1099 is self employeement However. IF you can be fired, IF any tools, trucks, etc. is provided for you. IF you are mandated to work given days and hours or IF (I think) at least 80% of your pay comes from one source then you are NOT suppose to be a 1099 person.
The actual 10 question test is in the IRS tax book that you use to file your taxes.
Oh, and your SS tax will be 15.30% and you will also have to pay self employeement tax, not sure of exact amout but somewhere in 2-3000 dollar range. When filing be sure to take all deductions available to you. Keep exact milage records in writting, as well as tools and other expenses.
