you know ur right Gwester, This industry and whole country really for that matter is searching for the lowest bidder to do the work so they can either maximize profits or offer a better deal over their competer. I started a little less than 5 years ago for an HSP. Everytime we took a paycut, they said DTV is doing it so they can offer better packages. Then they say it will bring more work for ya. So ur working harder for the same pay.
Bottom line guys, this is a dead end road we are on. Its almost impossible to make the kind of money you made last year even. It never gets better. The companys will always find someone to do it cheaper. Those are the HACKS. The ones save their money by not using ground blocks, or fasteners to attach the cable to the building or all those small items that costs us normal techs.
You can either give them what they paid for (Hack work) or find another trade. Electricians make good money guys.
