I think that is the case for most of the hacks. I personally am still making good money. not great but, I am not exactly starving and I get to see the beach daily. Lots of pretty women and I get free cable. haha.
Its as good as your reputation makes it. Yes the raping of the big systems by less than skilled contractors are over.
If you kept some integrity during the mass push to get plant switched over then there are still jobs out there.
