Re: Peaking Problem

These are 6 different types of satellite signal, ie KA, KU etc.

The skew and elevation in the book is designed for the 1000 dish, not just to pick up the 119 or 110 or 129, but all three at once.

As far as losing some of the 119 / 110, yes, that's a possibility, but, if you peak it out, you should get fairly good signal on all three.

Remember that the 129 is a medium range signal, unlike the 119 and 110, which are both high output signals. You should not expect to have both the 119 and 110 pegging at 125%. A more likely scenario will be 129 - 75%, 119 - 110%, 110 - 95%. The minimum acceptable signal for the 119 / 110 is 70%, and the minimum for the 129 is 50% - per DNSC.

One trick I have learned and always used, is to look for the western most satellite first when installing a multi-sat dish, then you have a reference point to find the other two birds. These satellites have between a 9 and 10 degree of seperation.
